Local author Matice Ahnjamine will host a book signing and release of her book “THE PRODUCT OF MY SELFISHNESS: The Stutter and The Story” on Saturday, July 7, 2018, 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Maryland Heights Community Center, 2300 McKelvey Rd., Maryland Heights, MO 63043.
“THE PRODUCT OF MY SELFISHNESS: The Stutter and The Story” is a tell all (autobiographical memoir) of sorts in the life of a stutterer whose fluent speech became disfluent after a life altering event. However, her faith in God, fierce confidence and formidable personality has allowed her to become the woman she is today - a force to be reckoned with!
The book will make you laugh, cry, and angry. Most importantly, it will inspire you to reflect upon your own prejudices and biases towards those with disabilities. Thusly, leading one to act compassionately towards others. As the author says and lives by this mantra, #OnwardAndUpward “Stutter-stepping on the way to the top!”
